Struggling to find what to wear? I can help!

As winter rages on, I had a realization that I might not have been planning appropriate winter outfits. Living in Florida can skew my perception of winter so aggressively that I begin thinking "oh, of course you can wear a skirt in the winter, it's 70 degrees!" Since I now recognize and accept my bias, I decided to focus on actual warm winter outfits this week for my Northerner friends who follow along. Read below for some cute warm work outfits for January!

Monday

A light lime green is honestly one of my favorite colors for this upcoming spring! This adorable blazer and skirt combo is perfect for the office and the tweed material is bound to keep you warm. Think your legs will be cold? Don't worry, you can still wear skirts in the winter! Just pair it with some taller, knee-high boots and your legs will stay cozy as you strut towards your desk.

Tuesday

A warm sweater dress is essential for work wear in the winter! Finding one in a bright color makes your work day a little brighter and adding a belt gives the dress a little more shape. I found these amazing lace tights on Free People and highly recommended getting a pair to put under your skirts and dresses in the winter.

Wednesday

These pants. Are. Everything. One of the biggest trends this Spring is contrasting patterns on one item of clothing. Whether it be two patterns on each leg of a pair of pants or two different patterned shoes or even a half plaid and half striped shirt, this trend is popping up everywhere! Tuck in a warm sweater to these pants and throw on a puffer jacket for warmth.

Thursday

Can you tell I'm into yellow this winter? Pair these sunny pants with a contrasting cerulean blue top for a fun combo! I love the idea of mixing a bunch of colors, so add these pastel shoes and jacket to create a wild and unique blend of hues.

Friday

End the week with what seems to be a simple combo of a patterned blouse and tailored pants, but throw in a pop of color with bright boots! These hot pink flat boots are sure to stand out and make a statement in your office this week. Pro tip: if you're adding in a pop of color, keep the rest of the outfit neutral as to not overwhelm the rest of the clothes.
