Struggling to find what to wear? I can help!

Happy 2020! The beginning of a new decade and a fresh start for us all. At the end of last year, I began to struggle with finding inspiration for posts. I felt like I was in a fashion rut, restricted by the regulations that come with working in an office. But as time went on and I became more comfortable with the environment, I realized that just because I'm in an office does NOT mean I have to be boring. It just means I need to be creative!

With that realization in mind, I've decided it's time to revamp my blog a bit with an emphasis on work appropriate attire. It is my goal that at the beginning of each week I can provide y'all with outfit inspiration for the work week. While it may seem a daunting task, my hope is that you begin each week ready to spice up your office life through your outfits.

*Add a jacket or coat over all these looks for warmth in colder climates :)

Monday

Start off the week with a simple dress and cute heeled boots! I love wearing looser fabrics in the work place, so a flowy midi dress is a go-to for the start of the week. Also, polka dots are so hot this winter and a great simple pattern for the work place.

Tuesday

I love a simple silky blouse for work! Pair a nice green one with work appropriate jeans. Style tip: Silky blouses can sometimes drown our figure. Try tucking in any silky blouse with tighter fitting pants that way the top doesn't look too oversized!

Wednesday

Sheer fabrics are another hot trend this winter. Just because it's sheer, doesn't mean you can't wear it to work! Just wear a tasteful tank top underneath and you're good to go. With simple work pants and heels, you'll stay trendy and work appropriate!

Thursday

Let's talk skirts! Sometimes it's hard to find skirts with the appropriate length for work, but there are certain tricks to make them look longer. For example, this skirt has a pleat at the bottom which creates the illusion of length! Try it out :)

Friday

TGIF! For this casual Friday, let's funk it up with some longer shorts for work! I've been getting into the bermuda shorts look, and I feel like it's definitely possible to make them work appropriate. This pair from Zara would be perfect for work and you can add a blazer to make it even more business-like.
